I don't want to be fat.... That's my motivation :) My kids, my beau, my mental health, my happiness... All super important reasons to keep it up :#

Well, I set some achievable goals and just keep working toward them. I'd like to lose 1 pound per week to take off roughly 25 pounds. I installed the Happy Scale app on my phone and it shows me the trend on my weight loss. It motivates me to see some progress every so often (but not every day). The Happy Scale sets small goals that I try to hit. Right now, my next goal is losing 1.4 pounds, which the app calls a "milestone". To me it's a neat little game to play. I'd recommend you buy a food scale, accurately log in the calories you consume, and make it a game to come in at your target daily calorie goal. Don't freak out when your weight fluctuates. If you follow the plan, those ups and downs will even out eventually and you'll see progress.

I want to feel better in my own body. The closer I get to 50 years old the worst I feel. I don't care as much about outward appearance, just feeling better and living a long time for my kids.

The mirror keeps me motivated, I used to hate looking in a mirror, now it's not as bad.
