Did you give yourself a make-over when you got to goal?

I finally got Invisalign done but that's pretty much it (never made it to goal though... 5 lbs away).4

Heh. No. Kinda not where my interests lie, personally.
But if you feel like you'd like the results, or it would feel like a nice reward for meeting your weight goals, I'd absolutely encourage you.1 -
Nope, it's not really my thing. I have bought different styles of clothing though that flatter my changed figure more. And I changed up my skincare and makeup routine also, but that's more related to aging and taking care of myself than weight loss. I do think it's all tied in with body image though
I'm for whatever makes a person feel good about themselves, even if that means drastic makeovers. But for me, meh, I have always had a similar style and I do change up my hair often (short, long, different shades) but I kind of like my geeky bespectacled self.2 -
Bought new 'fancier' workout clothes & a new pair of sneakers. More out of necessity than a reward though, ha! Not really into hair, makeup, nails etc. Happy for others to celebrate however they like though!0

Not really. I did buy all new clothes, but that was out of necessity.0

I had to buy a whole new wardrobe, out of necessity too. As I went down the scale, I would go to the thrift store and buy something a little bit tight and in a week or two that item would fit or be loose, and I did that over and over till I hit my goal. Now I maintain.1

I would have if there was a reason to. I have short hair, work from home and rarely wear make up, and so on. So I never saw the point. Not sure what they would make-over!0

I'm ten pounds from goal and have booked a tummy tuck for December. I felt really self conscious about it at first but everyone I know has been very encouraging and now I figure I earned it.6

Even at my heaviest I always took pride in my appearance so I really didn't plan a makeover.
However the more weight I lost I started growing my nails and hair out, played with makeup a little more, took more of an interested in skin care and slowing down the aging process. I also invested in a new wardrobe and started wearing more brighter colors.3 -
No, but I bought a new bike.8

Losing 60 lbs WAS a makeover!
I didn't need a haircut or new eyeliner to tell me I looked and felt better7 -
Not really, no, but I did make myself a bunch of new clothes that I love including unicorn leggings. But if it would make you happy, go for it!4

Sorta. Guys don't exactly do "makeovers" but I made myself over as I went. After I lost the first 25 lbs, I bought a new suit. Game changer.
After I lost about 25 more I found Harry the tailor. Also now I was at the gym. I went from dressing like an unmade bed to the best dressed guy in my office. Me, the office clothes horse. Un believable.
I kept it up all the way to 100+lb loss. Odd. But after I got goal I started shopping at Marshall's. I looked good on anything.
Taking pride in my appearance helped change my life. Glad I didn't wait for goal.13 -

Hmmm. You're making me realize I could've bought a weight-loss reward boat. How did I not think of that?!??!

Kind of-
I did my hair in a trendy new style and coloured it- basic Snow White, strawberry pink, lilac mauve, and magenta, at different times.
Took in all the clothes I loved, and bought new form fitting dresses.
Got a bikini for the first time in 40 years, then got a whole load of them I found them so useful.
I have always worn mascara and lipstick so I found waterproof so I wouldn't feel naked at the gym or in the pool.
I honestly never thought I would have the body I have at my age, in both strength and looks, so I am going to rock it while I can.
Vain, I know, h.
Fitness wear has been deplaned as I needed it over the years.7 -

Does it match your shoes?5 -
Kind of. During the entire journey I always did little things. Halfway there I cut and colored my hair. Of course new clothes because it was needed. I did also get contacts and bought a little make up (I used to wear none). So I guess you could say I did an evolving makeover and it continues to evolve lol.3

That's probably about two years away for me. But I am probably going to have a couple makeovers by then.2

I've promised myself (read: saving up for) a rhinoplasty! Unfortunately weight loss does not shrink the schnozz :P
I think I am about a year away from goal at the current rate of loss.2 -
No, not unless you count getting clothes altered, or buying new clothes as the ones I had were way too big :-) But I don't knock it! If that's a way someone rewards themselves for achieving something really important go for it! You deserve it!1
-
Yes! I've had to start again with clothes, so I'm taking the time to build a new capsule wardrobe, and really figure out what my 'style' is. I've had years of wearing clothes that were just meh, and I didn't love anything I had.5

I agree that the weight loss IS the makeover. I reward myself by continuing to upgrade my garage gym and by buying a new pair of Hokas every 6 months. My skin, hair, eyes and nails all look better naturally just from eating so much better.3
-
In a sense...I guess I did although it wasn't a reward after losing the weight. I just started feeling better about myself, so now I get my hair cut/highlighted regularly. New clothes is a given because nothing fit anymore, but I buy nicer things now.
I'd really love to make myself over and buy some new boobs since they went away with the weight loss, but...we'll see.1
