LOL! I had an elliptical but it broke. I enjoyed not having an *kitten* breaking seat0 -

you mean the seat will never bend to the will or shape of me bum?0 -
Seems as you're at home you could just stick a cushion on it. Bike seats never get comfier. You could try cycling standing up.0

Don't forget the cycling shorts (chamois) -- if you don't already own a few pair. That butt-pad (as I call it) is a godsend.0
-
padded shorts
stand on occasion
change up your hand positions
also.... yes, it gets better3 -
I third the padded short suggestion.
Also magnesium or an epsom salt bath can help with muscle soreness.1 -
Padded shorts are a must! You can also look at replacement seats3
-
I went mountain biking this summer on a rental bike with a strange shaped seat & I could not sit for 3 days1
-
@_MistahJ_ we need your advice in here. How can this young lady get used to the *kitten* pain? Take it like a man or ?2

It should get better but may take a few weeks.2
-
The next time you sit on the bike will hurt like a *kitten*. Might as well get it over with. But it'll get better.1
-
You could ride this. Depending on how you like to ride, butt pain may worsen

Honestly you just condition yourself to it. Padded shorts (i prefer the gel variety) and some cycling cream if needed.
-Get out of seat occasionally but not too much, i try not to move around that much.
-Get your seat positioning correct, you want to be sitting correctly and avoiding unnecessary pressure on your sit bones.
-Avoid seats that are too soft. ( i like my cutout seats)
-Adjust seat height correctly. Any person that has been cycling a few years will be able to spot any oddities in this regard.
-Learn how to peddle, that sounds stupid but i see people bouncing on their seats because they're peddling at too high a cadence. I try not to put too much pressure or force on the seat, you can ease some of that through correct form.
-Take breaks on long rides and don't sit in wet clothing if you can help it.
Bring on the wrist, shoulder, triceps and neck pain!1 -

I use a banana seat on my bike.
*summoned* This is like the 3rd time someone has said banana today. What's up with that?5 -
