I'm confused by the macros . After reasearching it, and doing a calculation it says 45% carbs 25% fat 30% protein with 1450 colories . While weight lifting at the gym, my friends say I should be having 50% protein and 25% carbs 25% fat. I go to the gym lifting weights at least 5 days a week. Im trying to still lose weight and tone .
What does every one else do ?
Thank you for any advice :)

    MFP macros are fine.

Or do 0.8g protein per pound of bodyweight and 0.35g of fat per pound of bodyweight and the rest carbs...

Or something in between that suits you.

Its your calories for weight loss not macros

I aim for 90 g of protein per day, try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and let the rest take care of itself.

Everybody is going to be different. Play with your macros to find out what works for you. If you feel satiated and have energy with the MFP defaults, stay with that. If you find yourself hungry, maybe tweak with a little more protein and/or fat. If that doesn't work, tweak the other way and try more carbs.

Personally, my happy place is 35% protein, 35% carbs, and 30% fat. Took me a while to get there.

I find 40/30/30 to be the easiest for me to maintain.

Weight loss is all about the calories... But do eat enough protein to maintain muscle mass.
