Running Programs For Not Quite Beginners?

I'd like to find a good running program and get into running more, because I am more likely to stick to things when I have a schedule. I checked out the Couch To 5K Program, but it seems too easy for me... I think. I have ran before and can run a mile non-stop at a good speed already. Are there any intermediate running programs that are helpful and easy to follow?

You don't have to do the entire C25K program. You can pick it up wherever you think you might be on the schedule.

Nike+ has a great website that has different coaching programs. If you have an iPhone, you can link up to that to track your runs with the gps app, too.

the next step after C25K is the bridge to 10K by the same people. there should be a link to it on the c25k website.

Hal Higdon's 10K training program is pretty good for the next level too. here's the link for that: http://www.halhigdon.com/10ktraining/10knovice.htm

The people who make C25K also make a program for after you complete C25K called Bridge to 10K. This might be a good option for you.

Runnersworld.com you can use the smart coach, its mostly geared toward training towards a race but, you can input how far you currently run and select as many weeks out as you would like, select how hard you want to train and then it will give you a schedule with tempo runs, speedwork, easy days, long days, and rest days, I use it all the time to keep me on track.

Podrunner! I really enjoyed the Freeway to 10k and you can always start a few weeks in if the first few look too easy. There's also a Gateway to 8k depending on your goals.

podrunner.com has free podcasts for 10K, and longer. It is music based internal training (they also have First Day to 5k podcast, so the longer distances are part of the same series.
