Has anyone used http://www.packupgo.com to book a mystery 3 day getaway vacation? How did you like it and would you do it again?

Planning the vacation is half the fun! No way I'm gonna outsource that to a third party who'll probably "surprise" me with something I'm gonna hate.

I need something different. Going through a bad time now. I like what this person had to say about it: "Pack Up + Go is an amazing way to experience something new and take yourself out of your comfort zone to take a trip you would never think to plan for yourself."

Meh, go for it. What do you have to loose. Not much different than paying a travel agent to make arrangements for you. Only you don't decide where you're going or doing in this case.

You fill out a questionnaire so they know your interests - so you should be doing stuff at the destination that you enjoy/want to do. They also give you a list of recommendations for things to do/places to see in the destination city.

I haven't done this, but I would. Sounds exciting!

I love surprises, and hate planning, I'm also up for almost anything

If I were you I'd try it. Why not? You want something different, and it's only 3 days!

Not sure how it works but if you enter your criteria and it gives you a suggestion, cool. If it just books it for you and that's what you're stuck with then no.

Surely it wouldn't you know...stick you in a ratty motel because they're giving a better cut to the site than other hotels. People wouldn't do stuff like that.

I think it sounds cool! I love to travel, but I hate the planning. I would totally do this! I did a quick google search and all the reviews seem pretty positive - go for it!

I had no idea this concept was out there. I can see trying it sometime. I'm not picky about hotels and I HATE planning travel itineraries, so this could be the thing for me.

But my husband would never go for it. Not in a million years. He much prefers to spend hours on end researching hotels and flights and activities and preparing spreadsheets and packing a week in advance...

I just went to web site, I could handle almost anything for three days. If it was longer, maybe not.
