Help! Going to the fair with my family?!

What can I possibly find to eat at the fair wit my family? It isn't a big fair so it is a relatively small midway. Would a hotdog or something like that be my safest bet, avoiding some of the bread? Or any other ideas? Thanks!

What fair food do you absolutely LOVE and would be sad if you didn't have any? Have one of those. Log it. Love it. Move on.

There isn't anything at the fair that I HAVE to have, usually. So I get an ear of yummy, yummy corn and some sort of chicken sandwich/pita.

This is my strategy. I have my favorite thing, totally enjoy it, and log it.

At my local festival, I looked at every single food vendor, chose one single food item and one single beverage that sounded the very best, and ate them with relish.

Wait, no. I mean I relished eating them. There was no relish involved, just mustard. It was a truly fantastic hand-dipped corn dog and a fresh frozen lemonade.

Agree with this. It is one day in the grand scheme of things, so enjoy the time with your family. And if that means splitting a funnel cake with the group, so be it.

Another plan would be to eat right before going and not eating fair food, but what is the fun in that?

If there's nothing you HAVE to have at the fair, just eat beforehand and take a bottle of water with you to sip on. I totally agree that having ONE thing you love and logging it is perfectly acceptable. That being said, I still say eat something healthy before you go and take the water anyway.

I have myself a lemonade with a whole lemon in it. A google search says 120 calories for 12 oz but I bet there is a lot more than 12 oz in there!

A friend had herself deep fried jell-o this year.
