A new way to celebrate?

My whole life I have celebrated accomplishments or special occasions by eating out or drinking booze. What do you guys do to celebrate in a healthy way?
FYI: Bowling and mini golf bore me to death.

I was sure I could think of something but every celebration of mine includes cinnamon bun oreos. So I've got nothing.9

I got a massage after hitting key moments in my weight loss to celebrate.10

Damn that's a good one.1 -
Since I don't use booze for anything and no longer use food to celebrate, the one real celebratory thing I did with all this weight loss was actually last weekend. I've never bought Levi's because they are expensive. Never. One day several years ago at work during my obese life I observed a tall, slim fellow wearing Levi's with the size tag visible (His was 32 34) and I reflexively muttered "Braggart". Saturday I figured they'd be on sale so I went to Macy's about bought my first pair of Levi's with the size tag visible (Mine is 32 32). Damned straight I'm bragging.22

I get my nails done and go shopping for something I want, or plan and take a trip, depending on how special the occasion.5

Massage, treat activity (day trip, go to concert, etc.); new fun things I want like hobby supplies, workout equipment, etc.3

Go see a movie or comedy show or concert.
Treat yourself to some beauty pampering or massage.
Buy a cute outfit.2 -
Hey, the Levis' with the size on the outside - that was a "Seinfeld" episode lol But a great NSV.
You could buy a Pandora charm (all jewelry stores sell charms plus craft stores, less expensive) and a bracelet and add a charm at each milestone.
How about a show, manicure, massage, an expensive pocketbook you love?1 -
This is something I struggle with. I always eat and drink for celebration! I have no advice. Just here to say I sympathize!2

I weighed in this morning at my lowest weight since I was about 13 years old.
I celebrated by drowning a pack of oreos in a glass of milk. It was delicious.
What do you enjoy? If you like being pampered, have a manicure or facial. If you enjoy the outdoors, maybe go on a bushwalk or hike.2 -
I buy myself stuff.2

I had all my hair cut off. Eek!2

That's a tough one. Celebrating and eating have gone hand in hand since I was small. For me, so far, the happy feelings I get from reaching a weight loss milestone are good enough, but I wonder. Eating to celebrate runs so deep that it probably has to be allowed, but only on rare occasion and in a reasonable way, not an all out binge because I lost a few pounds. I generally do eat more on special occasions, but I cut back the day before and the day after. Doing well the day after is critical.
I remember when I first started doing pool workouts. After each session I would crave ice cream so bad! I knew it was leftover from my childhood because we would always have ice cream after a day at the pool.
So every day, I just kept saying "no" to the ice cream until the urge faded and finally went away. It's just a matter of reprogramming I think.

I have started saying "NO" to myself too. I was really wanting a treat yesterday. .fatty food and wine. But everytime it popped into my head I kept saying no no no. Untill the urge went.2 -
You can still celebrate the way you used to so long as you don't find reasons to celebrate every other week.

I either get workout gear or experiences.
Two more pounds and I'm going to get a more accurate body fat test and an RMR test.1 -
Schedule activities rather than just meeting at a restaurant. There's more than just bowling or mini golf out there. Indoor parachuting and trampoline parks. Walking tours (museums, art galleries, garden and home tours, or just shopping with friends). Escape rooms. Go karting. The beach. Rent kayaks or SUPs. Do a bike trip or outing.4

At celebration get togethers I eat everything. Just not all of it.1

I celebrate by participating in ultra long distance cycling events or taking on other cycling challenges like climbing our local mountain.

I get new running stuff.5

I like to keep an eye out for concerts from tribute bands. They are not too expensive (sometimes free) and usually tons of fun plus you're dancing and moving the whole time.5

Eating out and drinking booze. Just not very often.0

Shopping!!!!! But then again I use that for everything0

GIRL! I have the same problem. Feel free to add me so we can motivate each other. My "solution" right now is to try and stay under my calorie goals for the week if I know I'm having a few drinks on the weekend, so that I sort of saved the extra calories for it. If I start always saying no to it in an attempt to lose weight I end up caving and going overboard.0

These are all great suggestions! I think the urge to eat out and drink is deeply shoved in my brain. For example, yesterday I hiked up a mountain with a super steep incline and I wasn't sure I was going to make it to the top but I did! When we got back down the mountain and to the car the first thing that popped in my head was "hell yeah i'm awesome, now I want some whiskey to celebrate!" Haha post-college problems I'm still trying to over come. I like the ideas of going to concerts and museums. I don't usually shop for myself, but maybe it's time I start? Lol thanks for your input everyone! Feel free to add me!0
