A 5 oz glass of Pinot Noir is 120 calories. If you have 3 or 4 glasses as many of us do your using 480 of your 1200 calories! You can't just drink your calories so you must make sure you eat plenty of lean protein and healthy green vegs!!!!! Also plenty of water! I've lost 42 pounds and I'm at goal, but now comes the hard part, KEEPING IT OFF!!!!! Never stop weighing, measuring and being accountable

My penalty for drinking wine or beer is rowing for 15 mins per drink if I go over my daily cals and can't meet my macros.

Keeps me from drinking too much as I am prone to do if left unchecked.

Sadly, I had to give up "recreational" wine altogether. Meaning I don't keep it at home to unwind after work and don't sit around at the bar drinking on weekends. I'll have a nice glass or 2 of Pinot when I go out to eat, and have banned Chardonnay completely.

I love red wine, but 15 or 20 oz? I'm gone after the first glass. :S It's worth noting though that the drier the wine, the less sugar and calories it will have, so choose carefully. :)
