Road Trip Food

Options
I am constantly taking weekend trips to weddings and visiting friends. Obviously this take a HUGE toll on the diet. Any good tips for food on the road that are low calorie/healthy?

This is assuming I forget to pack food...which happens often. :)

Thanks for the input!

    bump!

i was just thinking about that as i prepare (mentally and physically) for a weekend trip coming up soon. im interested in seeing what other people respond with.

i often dont pack food either, but i try to get protein-type bars, water, and diet soda at the gas stations and/or fruit if they have it. i dont beat myself up too bad for eating things i shouldnt but i try to limit the amount i eat and try to make note of it just to keep track.

I have a lunch bag I take with me on short trips I keep fruit and portion size nuts and power bars in it. That way I am not tempted by the restaurants or vending machines or gas stations I pass by. I have to be in control or I will fail.

@nnburns - Thanks so much I am definitely going to check it out.

@spurratic - I also try not to beat myself up to bad... buuut...I have only 10lbs to go and I feel like anywhere I can cut corners I have to. Especially b/c i am usually not working out when I am traveling. whoops!

    Thanks all!
