Weighing on Two Different Scales

Alright peeps, riddle me this. I have an old school, non-digital scale at home. I'm doing a weight loss challege at work, and we use a digital Weight Watchers brand scale there. For the purposes of the challenge, I record my weight per the digital scale at work.

Here's the mystery. I've lost over 6lb, but when I weigh on the non-digital scale, it shows a loss of 0! That's right, it hasn't moved ONE BIT. So what gives? Is it possible that scales just stop working? The digital one is consistantly going down, but the other one just stays the same. Very confusing! Any thoughts?

    Hahah I am on Saturday! I'm just really curious why one scale goes down every week and the other doesn't move a pinch.

    I would get a new scale because I weigh on my digital scale then verify using my moms non digital scale and they are usually both within the same numbers.

    Yea definitely get a new scale. Those things can be so wierd sometimes but that is bizarre! Definitely sounds like its broken

    I have no idea why, but you do need a new scale! It is really odd! :P

    I have a digital one and I use my mom's normal scale to compare, they are usually around the same numbers.

    I would marry the scale that goes down and have plenty of little nice scale babies.

    Are you sure the non-digital scale is balanced at zero when you get on it? Sounds like it may get wonky.

    It also varies depending on the surface you're weighing in on. If you're standing on carpet, you won't see much of a change at all.

    Yes it is set at zero and it's on the tile floor in my bathroom. It's bizarre! I could understand better even if it went UP! But it doesn't move at all in either direction! It's not a balance scale like they have at the dr., it's the kind with the little dial and tic marks.

    I saw no weight changes after so many weeks and got mad and went out to buy a new scale only to go home and find that scale gave me the same weight too! OOps.. my bad. lol

    Go get a new one anyway :)
