If you came off second best after a tussle with a bull would you a) keep your toe and have no thumb? b) replace your thumb with your big toe?

Thanks to a table saw and a moment's inattention, I have a little insight here and B is pretty much a no brainer.

    No bull?

...and no left middle finger and a messed up index finger. I am lucky though as it could have easily been much worse.

ETA: The thumb is still there. Only the middle and index fingers were injured but I didn't have use of that hand for a while and even though it is basically a non issue now, it was interesting at first relearning how to perform simple tasks.

Ok so you are experienced with this. But why b? Then your toe gets chopped off too.
