Hello everyone, my name is Clare and I have 6 stone to lose. I'm also a mum of two very energetic boys (10 and 2) so I need to get healthy for myself and my boys. I've been trying to follow slimming world for the past month or so and I've really struggled with not having any fat in my diet. I'm talking, olive oil, coconut oil, avocados etc. I hate the taste of fat free stuff so I'm thinking it's not the plan for me. I'm going to give good old fashioned calorie control another try now that I've managed to wean myself off the naughty snacks like crisps and chocolate. I would love to make a few friends here for mutual support in our weight loss journey's xx

Calorie control was what worked for me. :) I get to eat whatever I want within my calorie limit, and I've lost and kept off 70 pounds.

Your body needs the healthy fats such as avacardo, nuts, etc, I am the same with calorie counting. I also use Herbalife here and there. Put the good stuff in your diet that your body needs for fuel and watch your portion sizes. I have lost 8lbs in two weeks doing this.I hope this helps. It worked wonders for me, 1 stone to go. Since my son I have lost 5 stone. You can do it!! :) X

Thank you so much! I've noticed I don't feel good since starting SW and I think the lack of good fat is the problem. Good to hear another great story. Feeling a little more motivated now

I need to lose exactly the same as you, it's a bit daunting when you say 6 stone isn't it, I'm going to set goals of 7lbs each time, my plan is healthy eating within the allowed calories and swimming (or in my case drowning with style)

Good idea, I think I'll do 7lb goals too

I have a question re exercise..........
Does scooting around the house with the hoover singing along to Queen's 'I want to break free' constitute as a work out and if so how many calories do you reckon 20 minutes would use up?
