Unless you are obese/morbidly obese, you're not going to lose 3 Lbs per week...aint gonna happen. You don't want to lose more than about 1% of your body weight per week...

Not happening... next time book your holiday longer in advance if you need to lose weight.

I'm not sure how possible it is for you.
I would follow what MFP tells you and remember that any less is a good loss.

Might have wanted to start 24 weeks out. You can lose, but it's not going to be close to 2 stone.

The problem is, if you did lose the weight, you would probably gain a bunch back (perhaps as much as a full stone) during your holiday. Unless you continued reasonable diet while on holiday. You are however much more likely to just go back to your usual eating ways, or even worse given that you are on holiday. I have gone on a two week trip before and gained 16lbs. Much of it water weight, but it can set you back a couple months if you are on a longer weight loss journey. Set yourself up for long term weight loss and healthy diet

I've lost 10 kilos (about 22 lb) in about 9 weeks just through eating the recommended intake MFP gives me, and walking more, but I was 124 kg to start with.

What's magical about that number? Set your MFP to lose 2 pounds per week and log your calories. Be happy with the progress you make. Don't freak out if you see your weight go up and down, that's completely expected. If you stick with the program for the next 9 weeks, your clothes are going to fit better, you'll feel proud of yourself, and you'll have the energy to enjoy your vacation because you didn't starve yourself beforehand.
