I have a long way to go to a healthier body and mind looking for some tips and help along to away to stay motivated.... Love this app so far.

Welcome aboard and good morning to you. I joined this site per the suggestion of my doctor, he wants me to stay below the suggested calories intake per day and this website has helped because I am ready, even if I am 62 years old, you never give up!2 -
Welcome to all. I was 63 when I decided to start eating and moving in a way to try and reverse my fast side deeper into poor health. Three years later my health has greatly improved per all health markers. Finally realizing I did not have to eat the way others ate and moved but I just needed to find the way that worked for me and stick with it yet tweaking it when my body tells me that that my way of eating and moving needs to be tweaked. While I have read about 20 books and spent many hours on the web it all comes down to what works for my brain and my body.
Doing nothing is about the only thing in my view that seems to be wrong. As long as we are thinking on better health we will learn the ways to eat and move that will bring us better health. Now I can get in and out of cars unaided and do not have to rent a power chair to go to theme parks with the younger folks. Losing 50 pounds and keeping it off for two years is a record for me. Learning to eat in a way that lowered my pain and stopped my controlling cravings for processed food brought such FREEDOM to this old man.
Best of success to all in finding the best way to eat and move for your own minds and bodies. MFP has a lot of good info that we can sift through to find what works for us.0
