Had my yearly well-woman doctor appointment today. Since last year I've lost 24 pounds, but more importantly my HDL/LDL ratio is in the normal range AND. . . .drum roll please, my doctor took me off blood pressure meds! Now, if only I can keep up the exercise when I go back to work after summer break. I'm not too concerned about the eating--as long as I keep up with My Fitness Pal I stay pretty true.

That is wonderful- that is my goal- to one day be off of my blood pressure meds- thanks for showing that it CAN be done!

Well done! Congratulations are well deserved for coming off your meds.

What were your keys to success?

    Mine are:
-keeping within my sodium goals for the day by avoiding processed foods as much as possible
-trying to get about an hour of low to moderate exercise in daily
-drinking water instead of "unhealthy choices" as much as possible

    Keep up the great work!
