Looking to start a challenge for all the swimmers out there. Goal: 10 miles in July. Also, overall challenge for who can swim the furthest, just because I'm competitive in spirit :).

    Can I join? I've started swimming again after a long break and I agree that it feels great to be back at it. I am swimming 6 days a week. I did 2000 m today.

    Yes everyone is welcome. Wow 6 days a week that is amazing! I swim at my local high school and they have limited hours so I only can go on my days off.

    I'm a teacher on summer vacation so I am literally planning my whole day around lap swim times. I'm trying to get the swimming habit back so when I go back to school in the fall and my schedule gets tough I will still make time for the pool.

    I'd swim more, but the pool is 12 miles from home, costs $2 for lap swim, and is only available 11:30-12noon. If I get there on time, I can usually get in close to a mile, I think...

    @squirrelsrule --how did you do?

    I know I have 10 miles but haven't added it up to see where I ended up.

    Congrats! I also swam 100 laps today. I finished my workout at 2300m--92 laps--and was like, "No way am I getting out of the pool if I'm that close to 100." So I kept going to reach that nice number.
