Philippine plant based proties foods?

I will be retiring to the Philippines soon and since I try for a high protein low-fat diet, I need to have good sources of plant protein. That also helps with the fiber content I need.
From past trips there, I know that they have lots of fish, chicken, and pork for meat based protein, but does anyone know what local plant based sources of protein and high fiber are commonly available there?

I talked to my husband who lived there as a child and he said they often have soft tofu with syrup for dessert. He thinks they have beans there and you should be fine if you cook them yourself.0
