Good day fine folks. I thought I'd give MFP another shot. Just started last week to ensure my focus. Realized my unnecessary snacking really quickly. Got right on track. According to my weight of 185 and goal to get to 150, and exercising at least 5 times a week, MVP gave me 1200 calories a day. Ive lost inches, but no weight loss. Hellllp! Does this sound normal? What am I doing wrong?

I would say hang in there and keep at it and you will start to see the progress you are looking for.0

1200 calories is an aggressive weight loss target that assumes a sedentary lifestyle. If you're exercising you should be eating more...that said, if you're not losing weight with what you're doing, you are most likely eating more than you think you are. Then again, it's been a mere week which isn't long enough to really know anything as changes in water weight and waste in your system can mask weight (fat) loss on the scale.
It's only been a week...0 -
Thank you. I will continue to watch. Im not a runner or anything. I do lots of interval type workouts (apps, jumprope, lunges, squats, bungees, etc), some days I will walk uphill on the treadmill for 20 min really fast, If walking outside, I like to walk and then do fast sprints uphill. It varies, but I try to do something at least 5 times a week. The MVP has been my savior as far as my eating and nibbling. I neef to start my supplements again I guess, for the slight bloating...

If you're bloating, that is going to show up on the scale and mask fat loss...0

MVP  Meaning, Value, Purpose?
On your exercise days are you eating a couple or three hundred more calories to fuel that activity? That is the way MFP is designed to be used.
How much weight do you need to lose?0 -
Thank u cwolfman13.
cmriverside--no, I dont eat enough after workouts. I do have left over calories . Yikkkeess!! Its usually an evening workout. Any suggestions on what I can eat @ 6 or 7? I dont want to be too full or wide awake and cant sleep. I could shoot for am workouts and eat the majority of my calories alll day.0 -
