I had a C-section with my daughter 8-8-08, and I fear I am going to be battling not only the horrid stretch marks for the rest of my life BUT ALSO the awful 'pooch'
Now. I KNOW it is POSSIBLE to get it flat again its just going to take some, OK....A LOOOT of work.... I'm in need of inspiration again.. and everytime I think the belly looks better- I take a harder look and it's still the same ol' flabby stretch-marked THING:grumble: just in a smaller package. I am losing inches, but definitely not gaining any definition in that region......
I don't even know what to do to help it anymore.
SHOW ME YOUR BELLIEEEEES!!!! :smokin: :smokin:

I really want to see this too, I'm afraid the pooch will be here forever0

Wish I could show you my belly but it looks like there are left over tire tracks lol. I've lost most of my weight but I'm looking to do a tummy tuck so I can get some of it back. It'll never be the same with the stretch marks. I like to call them my battle scars :laugh:0

I had both my daughters c-section 12/31/07 & 4/26/11... mothers apron is awful and HUGE! I think I need a tummy tuck after my weight loss!0
-
my last one was on 06/03/05 (the c-section before was 04/23/01) and my pictures are on my page. I'm not savvy enough yet to figure out how to post them here..... :glasses:0

No way is anyone seeing my belly. LOL I did however have a flatter tummy 5 years after the birth. I've just let it go since then. :laugh:0

I had all of my babies c-section (4) so I am totally interested to see "hope" !!! What a good topic!0

All I have to say is, yum.0 -
I'd love to see / hear some success stories, too. I went 39 weeks with twins and would really like to get toned there.0

I had a C section, 20 years ago tomorrow actually. At my thinnest I was 116lbs, and that damn C section "fanny pack" hung off my 21 inch waist like a nightmare! I did have abdominoplasty in 1997, (might be the best 4k I ever spent) and even at the uber fat weight I achieved over the years (have been as big as 300# at one point), the fanny pack C Section pooch has not returned, no hanging gut, thanks to the abdominoplasty.
So, not to be discouraging, but my reality was, that even at the weight of 116lbs, with a fairly decent set of abs, and a 21" waist, the sack of skin was still there!0 -
Ive had 3 c-sections, 1993, 2002, 2004.
I no longer have a pooch. I have a deflated balloon. *sigh. I am so ready to cut this thing off.
I wanna see pics too!!!0 -
I am sorry, but I had a tummy tuck so I would be showing you a "cheated" tummy.0

I also have twins...how old are yours?0 -
ME TOO!!! 4 c-sections, 45yrs old, and an extra 50lbs does not make for a pretty tummy. After I burn off some of this fat, I'll def need help trying to TAME the POUCH!!!0

:blushing: aw, cheese whiz - thank you, kindly gorgeous! :flowerforyou:0 -
Its not going to go away without surgery that extra skin will always be there:(0
-
I would love to see some photos too. After 8 years I still have the nasty extra skin and stretchmarks. Both my girls weighed over 9 pounds so that probably didn't help me much. With clothes on it looks okay, but bikinis are definitly out of the question.0

My boys are 2 1/2 -- never a dull moment in the house! But sooo much fun. How old are your twins?0 -
Also, I was cut from belly button down instead of the "bikini cut"... I know that's the "old fashioned" way, but anyone else that has this problem and overcome it is welcome to inspire me!!!:flowerforyou:0

I had three csections (2/03, 9/04, 1/06). My pics are on my page. I am not where I want to be an it is getting a lot smaller!0
-
Well I'm not a mama, but I do have a 7" appendectomy scar that's right where a c-section would be. Not the same, I know...but look at my profile pic. It's flattened out a lot, which makes me happy.
Btw--you're gorgeous!!0 -
There's a pic of me on my profile of my tummy....It's been 5 yrs...and I still have stretch marks and my belly button looks squishy, but the actual pooch is deflating
On a positive note---When I was only 1-2 years past my C-section I lost down to 115lbs, which was super skinny on me, and the pooch was still there and looked horrible. I gained about 40 lbs, and now have lost 20 of that, this time around my belly looks much better, so I'd have to say that it looks better in time....0 -
Yeah my belly looks like I was attacked by a tiger. Once I get to my goal weight I am definitely doing a tuck.0
-
two c-sections here as well.. and TWINS... boy did they do some damage! my stomach isn't flat and has a definate pooch.. would love a tummy tuck. im afraid that is the only way that the tummy will be fixed. photos are on my profile.. don't know how to post here.. just friend me.

I had 2 sections last one 02-07-08. I will post pictures when I have hit my weight loss goal. I have been working out to some of Jillian Michaels workouts and it is paying off. I was lucky not to get any stretch marks with either one of my kids, so it's just the lower abs that I need to get into shape. Even though I gained weight through each pregnancy and struggle to get it off over the last 3 years, it was all worth it. My children are wonderful and I love them so very much. xx0

Okay I am not in the c-section club, my girls were both delivered vaginally. But I am in the stretch mark and loose skin club (can someone PLEASE revoke my membership??????).
I have lost all of my baby weight and then some, and the more I lost the worse the skin looked. Someone else said it- deflated balloon. I am coming to terms with the fact that the only cure for that is surgical. It's not a muscle tone thing, it's a skin thing.
On a similar note- I have that thing where your abdomin muscles dont go all the way back together after pregnancy. It's called "rectus abdominis diastasis." You can literally feel the gap in the middle of the muscles. It causes kind of the "paunch" look. I don't have much fat on my stomach, but it sort of pooches out because those muscles aren't holding everything in the way they should. Does anyone else have this issue? It makes me so mad because surgery is truly the only fix for that.
Ohhhhh well. I have two beautiful girls.0 -
I had my twins at 36 weeks via emergency c section and was so huge. I gained almost 100 pounds in the pregnancy. The more I lose, the bigger the pooch and hanging skin gets. i fear it will only be fixed with surgery and plan to get it after I reach my goal and maintain for a year.0

i had him 10/31/08. I have abs of steel underneath my pooch but my stretch marks have pretty much gone away since I have lost all of my weight. We will see about the pooch.0

thank you so very much!!0 -
I won't show you my tummy, but this is a friend of mine. My sister-in-law has had 4 babies, and SWEARS by this product, and I use it on my arms and neck - it has made a huge difference in my life.
I can't figure out how to get the photobucket link to work, so just look under my pics and I put it there as well.0
