Hi all - I'm new to this app. Can someone please tell me why strength training doesn't get added to your daily exercise? I do strength training most days and log it into my diary but it never gets added to my exercise figure

You can't accurately know kcals when weight lifting. Your best bet is to put it in as a cardio workout then it had a rough guess

I don't log any exercise at all. I stick with keeping track of the food.

There are too many variables to account for with exercise calories - effort, your weight, ambient temperature, current fitness level, etc.

When I get any physical activity, I know that it's a good thing.

I don't want to make this too complicated. If I do, I know that I'm more likely to stop my program.

I enter my lifting as strength training under cardio. Not sure how accurate it actually is, but better than nothing.
