Weekend Dilema

Friday is my running day, not as in exercise but more as in errands. So I hit up up fast food. If that was my only issue I wouldn't be here cause I would just step it up on Saturday. Instead Saturday is spent vising family and friends and all them are vastly over weight. Healthy choices become impossible unless you choose to stave. Now I don't wanna bring my own food, I see that as a slap in the face to the host. Now how do I remedy this?

Suggestions for Saturday
1. Don't go.....do you have to go every Saturday?
2. Work out extra before or after so you have a little more room for the goodies.
3. Eat healthy before you go so you can just do an obligatory/polite nibble on the healthiest thing there
4. Bring something healthy, but turn it into a "here let me help by bringing something" kind of thing.0 -
yeh take a plate, a bite or two, then put it down some where and just hang out with your drink and nibble as needed

Well about three weekends a month. So yeah every Saturday plus it is normally an over night trip. And when we visit my family. Good golly miss Molly. They are so food aggressive. Practically forcing Crisco down your throat! May have to go with the I feel bad. Just gonna have to find more excuses cause that will only work the first few months before they get wise to me.0

Have you tried telling them" I have this goal to be healthier and would like to try and stay on my path" sort of spiel? I find that if I tell people that I'm watching what I eat, they are usually respectful of my decision - I bet they will be!
I grew up in an Italian family and lately I get the " What's wrong with you, don't you want to eat"? To which I reply, "sorry, I ate a WHOLE bunch before I got here!!"
Good Luck! 0
