Okay, so when I started a couple of months ago, mfp gave me a daily caloric intake of 1280. I have reached my goal weight, but decided I want to lose 5 more pounds. So I entered the information and now mfp gives me a daily caloric intake of 1470. Huh? What's up? More calories to lose 5 more pounds?

Did you change your rate of loss - from 1 lb/week to now 0.5 lb/week? With only 5 lbs to lose that's the rate you should be aiming for anyway.

When I changed it just now to .5 pds per week, it increased my calories to 1700 per week!

At some point did you accidentally change your activity level? Very active people will have a higher calorie goal than if you're set to sendentary.

You can always just change it back to 1280 if that's what works for you.

Mfp probably gave you a less aggressive way to get there
