i am having trouble eating all my maintence cals. all the product i have in the house r low cal from when i was cutting so i was wondering what gd products there r available in australia which are still low in fat and stuff but higher in calories cos i dont want to eat all unhealthy things to meet my cal needs.
what foods are there out there?? what yogurts should i try the one i have atm is only 53 cal/100g but i dont want to buy a sugared fatty one. so yeah what are some healthy higher calorie foods options. and also how much junk should i reintroduce into my diet(i have been having pretty much none for the last month getting down to my goal weight)
will increasing unhealthy foods increase my weight/slow down my metabolism or do i not have to worry about this (cal=cal)

try some seeds and nuts. Small amounts have larger calorie counts. They do have fat in them although healthy fats...0

Add olive oil it some of your dishes0

I am also having a hard time eating all of my calories. I went from eating unhealthy foods about 2.5 weeks ago that totaled about 2100 cals per day (on a good day) to totally changing my mindset and having a hard time even getting to 1,500 cals per day.
My goal cals on MFP are about 1,900 and I am getting no where close to that! I am excercising as well, burning about 300-500 cals per day, so that's even causing more of a deficit.
A few of you mentioned protein shakes-- Should these be consumed between meals, and what kinds do you suggest? Also, do you have any suggestions on types of nuts other than almonds? Any other foods that are easy to add in and are healthy?
I am currently at about 312lbs, and I guess my past dieting attempts (failures) have brainwashed me into believing that I should eat as little as possible. I need it to work this time, and I want it to be the healthy way!0 -
For nuts: brazil nuts, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, cashews, pistatios
Other foods: Navitas Raw Cacao Nibs [they have an acquired taste because there's no sugar] 160cal per serving, Goji Berry trail mix 130?cal per serving [I think], sweet potatoes, black beans && any other beans, avacados0 -
thanks for all the suggestions0
