Is it ok to eat chips, pizza, burger, chocolates, etc. as long as I'm not exceeding my calorie goal?

Of course. Try and mix in some "healthy" choices too. Enjoy - losing weight doesn't have to be miserable - you'll be more successful if you eat food you enjoy.2

If you eat under your calorie goal, you will lose weight regardless of what you're eating. But when you have a limited calorie goal and fill it up with what you term "junk" you can have difficulty meeting your nutritional needs (vitamins and nutrients etc), or find yourself going hungry as your calorie goal gets eaten up by a relatively small amount of food. So you may want to keep that in mind and try and balance it with a decent amount of veggies and other nutritious items.3

Make sure it is a day that you feel in pretty much in control. I think we should enjoy what we eat, but sometimes eating "junk food" is a trigger for doing some major overeating. By the way, if that is a current picture of you, there isn't much visual evidence of major overeating episodes.

I've heard people talk about an 80-20 split (80% nutrient-dense, 20% treats). I'm not that scientific about it. But I do make room for indulgences while eating healthy overall.2

I do. I got a food scale and I weigh my potato chips. NO GUILT. I'm learning here.1

Yes it's fine. Just be sure you are eating enough whole foods as well to get adequate nutrition. My wife's endocrine doc puts it best, "eat a little of everything and a lot of nothing..."0 -
Yep, weight loss comes down to hitting the correct calorie deficit for your weight loss goals. However, as you go along you'll start to find that some of the foods you currently eat just aren't worth the calories, some foods are lower in calories and you can eat more of them (veggies are great for this), and then you'll start to find low calorie substitutes for some things like low calorie salad dressings, diet soda etc.1
