Starting weight was 194ish
Today I'm 178.6

The biggest change was the super-honest tracking of my food to include using a food scale, increase in protein, and starting to lift heavy weights.
I haven't lost a lot of scale weight, but I've lost a lot of inches. 9 inches total in just the past 6 weeks despite only a 3-4 lb difference in scale weight.
The other REALLY important point is that I see tracking as just data - no morale compass attached. I don't have "good" or "bad" days, just days. Some days I eat more, sometimes less. I don't "cheat". I just eat what I want, but in smaller portions and I am honest abut it. Getting right in my head and learning how to eat intuitively at maintenance was key for me. It took me almost 2 years to get ok with myself first, then I was ready for a deficit.

I recommend reading the 3-part Metabolic Derangement blog entries on Go Maleo (links attached), as well as "Taking Up Space" by Amber Rogers (her blog is called Go Kaleo). I also really like James Fell-Body For Wife. Lots of truth, no *kitten* and it is all science-based information.

I've posted photos for comparison, (sorry the first isn't super clear). Dark blue dress was Sept 2016 and the other July 2017. I've lost a lot all over my body. I will stress here that I don't feel that one is "better" than the other, again, it is what it is. I think I look great in both. One can be body positive and love herself at any size while still wanting to change appearance or change her functionality.
