blueberry treat
I am getting information with a health coach abt what I eat & that relationship with diabetes. I've quit the majority of sugar, but still had a cup of blueberries in the evening. This week I heard that's got to stop too.
I am a little back & forth with this because this is the one sweet I have, blueberries.

Is your "health coach" a registered dietician?
I'm neither, but I have done some research in healthy eating. As far as fruit goes, blueberries are a very healthy choice as they're very high in fiber. Raspberries, blackberries, strawberries are all other heathy, high fiber options.
As far as fruit is concerned, if you're worried about sugar content stay away from pineapple and bananas as they're higher in sugar concentration and lower fiber.
But honestly, fruit is not likely where the majority of people's excess sugar comes from. I'd question any dietary guidelines that restricted blueberries.
