Currently I am away from home and living out of a hotel for work. I am trying to find ways to eat better and reduce my sodium intake. Very tough to do with no kitchen. Any ideas?

Can you buy precut and washed fruits and vegetables at a grocery? What facilities do you have in your room - microwave, fridge, anything?

Without any facilities at all, you can keep oranges and bananas in your room. You could also pick up single serving sizes of Greek yogurt and eat it with fruit.

Would you eat a big salad? You can go to a grocery store, but a spring mix kit (watch the dressing), and buy an apple or a banana as a snack. And tyson sells precooked grilled chicken (by sandwich meats) that can be used to top that salad.
Restaurants will also have salads. It almost sounds like you are sticking to fast foods only. All restaurants I know will grill some chicken for you with a side of veggies, just ask the waiter to make it low sodium.

I've been on the road for sports with my daughter for the past two weeks. We get 90% of our good from the salad bars, stir fry bars etc from whole foods/farm boy/other grocery stores. Do you have a mini fridge? We buy Greek yoghurt, fruit and walnuts and eat that every day for breakfast (hotel buffets = yuck).

I posted this on another thread but it also applies here:

I have pre made meals and packaged them in individual serving size Tupperware.

If you can freeze the food then pack it frozen and you can be good for a few days’ worth of eating, especially if you put it all in a thermal package, a towel works well or an insulated lunch bag.

Thaw out one meal at a time and use the hotel microwave. (Often there is one in the breakfast area and most places will let you use it to heat up supper if you ask nicely. Especially if you are a regular)

Also, drink lots of water to flush out excess salt.
