I stopped taking creatine...

Hi all,

I stopped taking creatine a few weeks back to see if it would help me look leaner.

It hasn't and I've noticed I've lost some size (water). I want to put that back on!

If I load on creatine for 5-7 days, will I start seeing the weight back on within a week or two? Go on holiday in 25 days.

    From examine - "Creatine monohydrate can be supplemented through a loading protocol. To start loading, take 0.3 grams per kilogram of bodyweight per day for 5–7 days, then follow with at least 0.03 g/kg/day either for three weeks (if cycling) or indefinitely (without additional loading phases)."

    My opinion - yep, you'll see greater intra-muscle water retention with creatine. Some people claim to be less susceptible to it but in your case you clearly respond well so go for it.

    If you get stomach cramps or other digestive issues whilst loading you can try spreading the dose through out the day.
