Help being on the road!

I recently have accepted a traveling consultant position- Consequently, I will be on the road nearly every weekend for the next 8 weeks and I'm nervous about staying on track with eating well- I'm envisioning a lot of restaurant visits, meeting over drinks, etc.... I'm looking for advice from any travelers out there about how best to maintain weight on the road, while not seeming rude to hosts. Thanks!

Hosts? Will they be taking you to a restaurant? Ask for a chicken salad with low fat vinagrette. Or grilled chicken with a side of steamed veggies. If you don't see it on the menu, ask for it anyway since they could fix it for you.0

Yes- I will be hosted. So I'm at the will of whomever I'm with as far as meals/lodging/scheduling goes for my trips0
