I make english muffin mini pizzas with chicken breast cut into strips, basil, and fresh tomato. Let them make their own! It'll be fun and "healthy"0

Enjoy the pizza you like, but have a salad before hand. It will fill you up and you still get veggies in.
I really like canned artichokes and black olives on my pizza.0 -
What about turkey pepperoni, or turkey sausage?0
-
Do you like olives? I love olives on my pizza.0
-
I put light sauce, light cheese, 1 tbls. real bacon pieces (only 30 cals) and then whatever else I find that's appealing. You could even use a small amount of bbq sauce with the cheese and bacon.................Mmmmm....lol I might have to do this myself tonight!:bigsmile:0

Bird eye chillies, chopped turkey ham, tomato & pineapple.0

I use flatout bread in place of crust.. my daughter loves it because we can make our own individual pizzas... red onion, chicken and bbq sauce makes for an awesome pizza... mmmmm0
-
I put marinera, light moz, and mushrooms on a mini wheat pita and bake it. I agree witht he other poster- have the others make their own mini pizzas. That way everyone is eating the same thing just witht heir own special touch!0

Hmm... have you tried changing up the sauce and doing something like pesto sauce instead of the red sauce and changing up your cheese to include something like feta. Maybe add some spinach and chicken to that?
You could also swing by the grocery store and look for some soy sausage to chop into chunks to put on there. Or some soy crumbles that you can sautee with a little onion and top with bell peppers and top with cheddar for "cheeseburger pizza."0 -
I made one with Flatout Flatbread last weekend. I used italian chicken sausage, which i sliced up really thin. I sauteed onions and mushrooms until they were almost carmelized. Sprayed the flatbread with cooking spray and baked it at 350 for about 4 minutes to crisp it up. Then I topped with sauce, cheese and the other stuff and baked it for about 8 more minutes. It was SO tasty. If I had them, I would have added black olives to mine, but I didn't have any.
I've also made them with chicken and a slice of bacon crumbled on top. SO tasty.0 -
Well you would not want my pizza then. . buah. . .. much love sunshine. ..
I get the whole wheat boboli crusts. .. . I don't put any sauce on it. . . then put on either the costco meximix cheese or Walmart grated mozzarella. . . Marinated artichoke hearts, black olives, sometimes marinated sun dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes. .
I don't put meat on my pizza. . just a personal preference. . .mom likes to crumble bacon on hers. .
With my daughter she was brough up largely vegetarian, so she likes all the veggies on the pizza. . and no meat of course. . .
If you like chicken on it. . You could make it with the same crust. . . classico light alfredo. . . mozzarella cheese and olives. . .just a thought.
Good luck hon. And I love onion on a pizza it is just mom won't eat it. . . I would put fresh garlic on there too. . yummy.0 -
I have 4 kids (adults now) when they were little they LOVED 'make your own pizza' night - I used canned biscuits but now they make rolled pizza dough you can use - then I put different toppings in a muffin tin - I let THEM make their own pizza with any toppings you like BUT IF YOU MAKE IT, YOU MUST EAT IT - can offer different sauces too or just drizzle with olive oil for the one who doesn't like sauce.
My kids also loved 'salad bar' night - same thing - I made a HUGE bowl of salad with toppings in a muffin tin - let them make their own salad & I served garlic bread
A great way for kids to get their veggies, learn that salad CAN be supper AND to try new foods
have fun!0 -
*drool* i knew i could count on you guys0

This is how I make my pizza...
- 1 flatout light italian wrap or herb (90 calories)
- 1/4 cup light mozzarella cheese (70 calories)
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (30 calories)
- 10 Hormel turkey pepperonis (40 calories)
= 230 calories.
I just put it in the oven until the cheese is melted and its soooo good.0 -
sounds yummy, the sauce can be crushed tomatoes with some italian herbs that cuts calories and salt. :flowerforyou:0

What about turkey pepperoni, or turkey sausage?
I agree. I also agree with those who suggested using Flatout wraps for the crust.0 -
What about "fajita pizza"? You can either mix salsa with the sauce or plop a little cold salsa on top of the pizza when it's done cooking (I prefer option #2 but only because I like my salsa cold).
Chicken + onion + bell pepper... add some cheddar to the usual pizza cheese0 -
I use either the flat outs wraps and everyone makes their own pizza - I usually get turkey pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, etc...
Or....(my favorite!) - I purchase the Mama Mary's pizza crusts and my 2 kids make one for themselves and me and the ol' man make one for us. I've made a BBQ chicken with leftover shredded chicken & my favorite bbq sauce.
just be careful to measure your toppings so you can figure out your calories accurately (which I know you will!).
Have fun!0 -
We use italian style canned tomatoes as our "sauce". Then throw whatever else sounds good on it.0

I love making a white pizza with just some olive oil and fresh garlic brushed on the crust then topped with mozzarella, spinach, bacon, feta and tomato. *drool*0

I recently switched to using whole wheat naan as the crust for my pizza and then I can make one for the kids with what they like on it and one for me and hubby. For ours I use different things all the time, last week was pesto, feta and sliced tomatoes and mushrooms. Another favorite is goat cheese and caramelized onions. Also salad pizza is fantastic and so filling.0
-
mmmmmmmmmmmm pizza!!!
well, all my favorites also involve lots of vegetables. I agree with the folks saying wheat naan and flatout pizzas rock!!
I have a bread machine so i like to use it to make my own whole wheat crust.
I ahve a recipe i'm about to try for carmalized onions and goat cheese. You could always add chicken to that..
I also love making a mexi pizza with salsa and black beans! (and corn if you can handle that)
Also i make a pizza with pesto sauce and onions and my chicken.0 -
I like turkey pepperoni pretty decent on the calories0
-
We make our own crust from scratch and make 5 different pizzas. Not by choice, btw.
I always have bbq chicken, just bbq sauce, chicken and cheese. if my husband is having it too we add mushrooms and green peppers to half. I don't like pizza, if i make it through one piece I'm shocked.
Hubby likes salami, pepperoni and ham wit mushrooms, peppers, mozza and cheddar.
My oldest daughter has crust and cheese then dips it in saue afterwards. Wouldn't sugguest it. Not overly appetizing.
My 3yo either has bbq chicken pizza with me, or has ham and pineapple, light cheese. She can't have much dairy.
My 1yo son has crust and meat. Cannot have any cheese.0 -
Try topping your veggies on it after you bake it. A lot of gourmet pizza places do this, like fresh arugula and mushrooms and lots of fresh herbs!0

*drool* This sounds like an awesome idea!0 -
