Using my full allowance

Hello there. It's time for me to start looking after myself. I've been successful using this app before but I tried never to complete my allowance everyday thinking it would get me to my goal faster. However after three moths I gave up. I'm ready to start again. Will I lose weight if I finish my allowance everyday?

You will if your calorie goal is set correctly and you have logged correctly.5

This. Getting to your goal faster isn't necessarily a good idea. The higher a deficit you have, the greater the chance for muscle loss and other health issues that come from not getting proper nutrition.1 -
Thanks so much. I guess I just need to take it day by day. My calculations are good i think. I'm on 1660 calls per day and it actually seems like enough for good meals with extra for fruit/snacks. I have much more chance at success if I don't feel deprived so I won't try to stop short of what I'm allowed.
Thank you for your support. It feels like it's so far to go at the start but best to focus on the day and not on the whole 2 stone!2 -
Yup, adherence (sticking with it for the long term) is more important than speed of loss.2

Well, I did day 1 and today is day 2. How often should I weigh myself?1

You decide. But inform yourself as to what information the scale gives you, what it means, and what it doesn't tell you. Weekly weigh-ins gives you 1 out of 7 data points, daily weigh-ins gives you 7 out of 7. Which one you should choose, is up to preference - what's important is what you do with those data points, especially when you see a stall or higher reading (which you will, no matter which frequency you choose; you can only avoid that by weighing monthly): Look at the trend and adjust behavior sensibly according to trend = good. Freak out over single readings, and either let panic take over and restrict food intake drastically/exercise to exhaustion, or let apathy take over and eat without any restrictions at all = bad.0
