I was working out today, and I came across a very upbeat song that really got me moving. It's an oldie from my generation, "Saturday Night." What an awesome surprise!

I'm curious to know what everyone else's favourite tunes are that get their hearts and bodies pumping?

I have many favorites. Anything by 3oh!3 keeps me going (but it's a bit explicit, I must forewarn). I like Hot 'n' Cold, Medicine, anything by P!nk . . . and I blush to admit, :blushing: I LOVE TECHNO! lol
  • Most of mine are admittedly pretty dorktastic, such as Perfect (Exceeder) by Mason Vs Princess Superstar (say that five times fast lol) or Let Me Think About It by Ida Corr. Both are very "poppy", like the kinda stuff you'd hear at a runway show, you know the type.
I also like "Hey Mickey" by B*witched (yeah that song from every cheerleading movie ever made haha)
Everything by Jump5 is good for that genre.

When I want something more rockish though, I like all the songs off Guitar Hero lol--my favourites are Monsters by Matchbook Romance, Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar, Woman by Wolfmother, Mississippi Queen by Mountain...and the like

I listen to a little bit of everything...what kinda music do you like?
  • I must agree, 3oh!3 is my latest obsession. They use bad language (which I don't mind...), but almost all the songs have the same upbeat tempo and so it's easy to get into a groove! It's like electronica+rap with hilariously inappropriate lyrics. I like reggaeton because it also has a good beat!
  • Grand funk railroad, cake, nine inch nails, bob marley, fat joe, willy nelson,
one I lison to almost every workout: mickey avalon- Jane Fonda
