Long intermittent fast before lifting.

It's too hot to lift totally at home, so I joined a gym.
I have IBS, so I can't eat before I go to the gym.
So my schedule will be:
4:30 Wake up.
5:00-11:00 Work
11:00-12:00 Gym
12:00 Meal 1
16:00 Finish lifting at home gym
19:00 fast begins.
That's 6-7 hours after waking up before I can lift, on an empty tank.
That's 17 hours since my last meal.
Anyone have experience with this?

I found I had less energy when lifting in a fasted state (usually 16 hours). Cardio I do fine with for some reason, but with lifting it seemed to hinder my progress.0

I reasonably regularly fast for 20+ hrs before weight training. A spot of caffeine goes a long way.
If you are focusing on gym performance (strength training), I would say this is not optimal though.0 -
I do IF now and once my body got used to it after about a week it got a lot easier and I feel like I have more energy during workouts. Its just once I'm done I have to eat a bunch just because I have no energy left0
