Question...

I just recently got back into working out (doing at home workout DVDs) I did them the past three days and my thighs are super sore, which I know is a good thing. My question is should I keep going and let my muscles adjust or should I take a day or two to let my muscles heal? Thanks

Keep going, but turn down the intensity a bit so you don't cause injury. Light exercise of sore muscles will increase blood flow and speed healing. Intense exercise of sore muscles will just make them more sore, plus if your muscles are already super sore it's difficult to maintain proper form with additional intense exercise.
So, maybe walking or a lower intensity (modified versions) of whatever program you are already doing.0 -

It's during the rest days that the muscles repair themself and become stronger.
^^^Yup^^^
When I did Insanity a few years back - it was too much for me to do daily. I found that I got great results doing it every other day as opposed to daily. It took twice as long to complete it but I doubt I would have finished it if I kept with the daily routine.

my husband is a physiotherapist and his advice to me is that if my muscles are sore i should rest until they arent so they have had time to heal0

Any DVD workouts that leave me sore the next day, I do every other day. In between I'll just take a couple of long walks, maybe some yoga if I feel like it. I also have a couple of DVD workouts that are just easy cardio that I might do on off days as well.0
