Hello:

Does anyone have experience with Nordic Track as a company? I am considering getting one of their recumbent exercise cycles.

I am looking for relatively unbiased opinions.

I just purchased a Schwinn 230 a little while ago. I haven't used it enough to give my thoughts. I haven't exercised in a while, so I'm starting slow. I don't know about Nordic Track.

Nordic track is part of Icon Fitness - which includes Proform and Gold's Gym (among many other btands). I have owned a number of Icon Fitness products. They are not commercial quality, but they get the job done just fine. I have had no real complaints with any of the stuff I've had (with the exception of it not being commercial quality stuff so it might not be as smooth or solid as what's in the gym). I am loosely in the market for a new treadmill and will probably purchase one of the Icon Fitness brands.

I have a NordicTrack recumbent bike. My husband and I have used it off and on for several years. No problems at all with it. It doesn't burn as many calories as a spin bike, I think, but you get good leg resistance. It's quiet, so easy to watch tv while riding it.

I'm also on my second NT treadmill. I like the company and its products. I haven't ever needed to contact them for service though, so don't know about that aspect. We replaced our old one after it was about 10 years old.
