Phrase/Mantra

Options
Hi, I am looking for a short (just a few words) strong phrase/mantra that I can repeat when temptation is calling me and also when I feel like I am faltering and going to go off my eating plan. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

After learning about the Addictive Voice Recognition Technique in Rational Recovery, I learned that just shouting NO! at my addictive voice works well.

It's not going to be easy but it's going to be worth it.

Small changes can make a big difference.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

Sometimes when I'm tempted by something junky that I haven't accommodated for (luv ya Cheetos) or I'm with a group of friends who are plowing through nachos with wild abandon, I tell myself "that's not food" or "that's not my food".

For staying on track with daily walks/runs, I can't give myself an option of not doing it, so my morning mantra for hitting the pavement is "it's just what I do now".

Reading these back they sound restrictive, but I only pull them out in emergencies.

Mostly I just remind myself of how I would feel later. No mantra required.

    "Slow and steady".

"If it's not worth tracking, it's not worth eating" (How I make myself input all my recipe ingredients into the MFP Recipe Builder, haha).

To myself: "Aren't you curious to see how you look and feel at your goal weight?" (I've been 150-160lbs for my entire teenager/adult life... I'm seriously curious to see how I look at 130lbs!!)

My favorite has been "I might as well log everything because my body counts calories perfectly".

Absolutely, it always trips me out when people don't log, because your body is always logging
