Hi everyone. Lots of inspirational stories. This is my first week back on fitness pal. I am hoping to lose 13 pounds before the big day. Looking for any good tips. Have had frozen shoulder the last year and a half so have not done much exercise and off and on with the diet. I was doing high fat low carb but binging on the weekends. Hoping moderation with healthy foods will be more successful for me. Will start strength training next week and just do what I can.

    I think you can do this. Open your diary and daily ask for people to look at it and keep you motivated. I know having an open diary did it for me. Oh, the thought of people looking...

    Congrats on the big day coming up, and good luck to you! Just make sure you don't lose TOO much or they'll have to alter your dress at the last minute (this actually happened to me... it worked but it was stressful!). Keep up the good work!

    What's your deadline for dress alterations? Start there, and figure out how much you can safely and sanely lose by then.

    I agree with @AliceDark , make your last dress alteration you goal/maintenance date unless you have a corseted back on your dress.

    I agree... do things that are safe and sane.. don't hurt yourself.. watch your diet 150%... DO NOT CHEAT AT ALL... you can do it for 10 weeks... after that you can diet 5 days on and 2 days off... Also... Do cardio if you cant lift... take classes at your gym and then work legs and abs...
