Monthly weigh-ins or weekly weigh-ins... which one do u guys prefer???

Me personally I think monthly would be better bc the scale could be my worst enemy.. if I don't see results consistently each week I really beat myself up, and I'll probably give up, but I feel as though I should transition to weekly just to stay on top of my numbers...any advice MFP?

I weigh daily but probably will switch to 3 times a week. My weight just swings too wildly during the week to trust daily weighings.

I weigh almost everyday. I work in healthcare so I use one of those scales every morning I work before eating or drinking. I don't expect to lose everyday but I like seeing the fluctuations.

I weigh daily and track for trend data, but only officially log once a week (Saturday or Sunday morning).

Wow I didn't think I would get these responses as far as daily! But wat are good apps to track my weight fluctuations or weight trends?

    iOS user-Happy Scale
    Android user-Libra

For web-based tracking there is Trendweight, which you need either a Fitbit or Withings account to connect to

A good app is this one or Happy Scale, which always logs your lowest weight.

Weekly weigh-ins for sure because I want to know how well I'm doing or if I need to cut back on food portions at a time when I can make changes that will produce positive effects that willl take effect in my body right away. That feedback is really helpful on a weekly basis.

Daily as well when I'm in weight loss mode. It's an important data point. I don't have to like it, I just have to record it.

Weigh myself daily, but only log it when it's a new low. Lately it's been daily, even if only by .2 lbs, but if it went up or stayed the same, I'd know to tweak my diet/exercise if it continued on that trend.

I weigh daily and use trendweight to track fluctuations. It gives me a more accurate picture I think.

I weigh daily, first thing in the morning. It helps me understand my loss pattern - actually helps me be less concerned about fluctuations.

As has been said before many times: Weight loss is not linear. There will be daily fluctuations. But the formula for calculating weekly weight loss that MFP uses turns out to be pretty accurate.

Daily. It helps me understand and follow the normal fluctuations. I trend in happy scale & libra.
