Eat when you like. Meal timing or meal frequency won't change affect your weight loss - it is determined by total calories

I've had to start skipping breakfast due to my work schedule. It's actually made a big difference in terms of keeping to my calorie limit, especially since I have very little time for exercise Mon-Thurs. I've increased what I eat at lunch and dinner to compensate and now have wiggle room if hubby decides to stop for coffee after work.

I heard that we shouldn't eat after 7pm if you're planning to lose weight?

Nope. I almost never eat dinner before 7 (and sometimes as late as 10) and it never hindered my weight loss.

Eat when you are hungry - weight loss is about total calories, not when they are consumed. As long as you maintain the calorie deficit, you will lose weight.

No. You snooze, you loose. Sorry.

    j/k
Yes, as long as you stay within your daily total, you can eat whenever you want. Many people wait until later in the day to start eating. See intermittent fasting (IF).

I eat most of my calories after 730pm most days... Haven't had an issue losing weight!

Hey, I don't eat breakfast, either! :drinker:

I like saving my calories for later in the day-night. I generally start eating around 2pm

The "don't eat after 7pm" should be "don't overeat if you have no calories left for the day". If it were true that one would gain eating after 7pm, that would be horrible for shift workers...

Meal times actually will effect your weight loss as you keep triggering insulin every time you eat. I skip breakfast too

Insulin doing what it's supposed to do, when it's supposed to do it does not hinder weight loss.

That works for my brother, but not for me. No one weight loss strategy is set in stone for all people but everyone who loses weight must burn more calories than you eat.

I often drink coffee at 5 am and eat something around 8 am, but my dinner may not be until after my kid's soccer practice is over at 7:30.
Good luck finding what works for you.
