Realised today how far I've come. Am currently 32lbs down. 5 foot 7 and a half. 40 something... From 14 stones 2 to 11.11. (Metric Scot!)

Quite emotional looking at these pics. Remember seeing the first and being so embarrassed at the time but felt unable to do anything as so unfit and in rubbish eating mode. Wee steps each day. Getting a Fitbit. Trying to get to 10,000 steps a day. Heard about couch to 5k and tried it. Running a minute being so bloody difficult. Counting down the last 10 seconds of running 60 seconds. Getting MyFitnessPal and logging everything I eat.

It's worth it. It's been hard work. It's been slow. I feel so, so much better. Almost forgetting how out of breath I would get doing the littlest things. I now need to do those runs. Determined to get under 30 mins on my 5k! Started weight training. Still a wee way to go with reaching that really healthy weight but determined I'll get there. If I do I'll get a tattoo...

Great job! Did you finish the C25K program yet? I just graduated from it a few weeks ago, and it's definitely worth sticking with it! Now I can "go for a run" whenever I feel like it, usually ever other day. I run for 2-2.5 miles (which I couldn't even have imagined at the start of summer!), and it's a great feeling of accomplishment and an efficient calorie burner!

Thanks Kathryn! Yes - managed to graduate last summer from it and it is so worth sticking to! One of my friends signed me up for the Glasgow 10k last October when not long graduated from it and I thought I'd walk a wee bit and jog it as I'd never ran that distance - but I did manage to run the whole way!!!! Now I run every second day like you do and really miss it if I don't get out. Wish I'd done it years ago. NEVER thought I'd ever run!!!

Yes! He's a wee cutie - my cousin's wee new baby. I have 4 kids myself and never thought I'd ever lose that baby belly - especially as one of my pregnancies was a twin one. Still a wee way to go.. x
