Calories for stand up paddleboard (SUP)?

I own a stand up paddleboard and am hoping to start paddling twice a week or so. SUP isn't listed as one of MFP's cardio exercises. For now I've been using the "paddleboating" category, but does anyone have experience with this and know if a different activity would be more comparable? I know calorie burn has a lot of factors and I won't be exact without a heart rate monitor, etc., but for now I just don't want to be WAY off on my estimates. Even when I'm paddling at a pretty leisurely pace for an hour, I feel like I got a good workout and am usually sore the next day. Thanks for any tips!!

Sorry, to be so late in responding...just saw this post. I use the web browser for MFP and was able to add a personal entry to the database for SUP. I put in estimates based on this chart for the various types of paddleboarding that I typically do...

Essentially the same article, but with a bit more description on how the calories were calculated:
http://www.supworldmag.com/sup-fitness-how-many-calories-does-paddle-boarding-burn/
I used the mean/median of the calorie burn depending on the type of paddling and the mean/median of the weight of the three guys (182.5 lbs) to enter my exercises. Then it seems like MFP would adjust for my actual weight when I entered my time.
I even added a paddling type of "practice" which is half way between touring and casual, as I often go out harder than a casual paddle with the girls but at less of a burn than a touring paddle, which is only a step below my racing pace.
Hope that helps, and hope you are still paddling!2 -
Thanks!! I've been off MFP for a while but am starting to log again and have been paddling a lot this summer. This will be very helpful.0
