I live in the San Deigo area. I have battled my weight in recent years. I turn 40 years old in January of 2012. My goal is to be in the best shape of my life by my 40th birthday. I was in the Army when I was younger so I have a long way to go to be in better shape than that. I will never be able to run like I did then, but I am hoping to look better. I have about 45 pounds to go which may not seem like a lot, but I also am trying to lose the weight with a higher protein diet to gain muscle while I lose weight. I understand that this difficult to do, but I am lucky that I build muscle fairly easy. I need to lose 2 pounds per week to reach this goal. Once I reach my goal, I plan to do everything I can to develop a 6-pack for the first time in my life. Anyone else with similar stories, I would love to hear from.

Hi! I turn 40 in October! I am excited! I think life at 40 is going to be so great and I am looking forward to it.

What's amazing is that I don't feel 40? Mentally, I feel 30. But, this body was starting to feel 60! So I made up my mind to do something. Unfortunately, I just truly committed to losing the weight in June. Therefore, I won't lose all the weight by the time I turn 40. But, I am hoping that by this time next year I will have reached my goal and I can spend my first summer as a 40 yr old as a hottie!!!

So far I feel so much better. Physically I feel better and my attitude is better! So I will keep this commitment even if I don't lose a pound. :blushing:

I will send you a friend request and good luck to you!
