Bread is grains, grains is starch, starch is carbs, carbs is calories. Why not choose another food, eat less bread, or not go low carb? It's okay to take an easier road sometimes.2

Cauliflower bread, obviously
...i'm kidding (sort of), although it does exist - https://www.beachbodyondemand.com/blog/cauliflower-bread-recipe
You could prob eliminate the cheese to drop calories further.

I'd call them "lower carb"...not necessarily low carb. Breads are made from grains...ergo, they are largely carbohydrates.1 -
I've had good success with fine blanched almond flour. You can use it for a variety of low-carb baking. I like making almond flour pancakes, waffles, bread, pie crust, pizza dough, etc.

This is an Aussie brand I sometimes use, I'm sure you have something similar where you are. It has 1.5g carbs and 16g Protein per 2 slices (79g).
Ingredients:
Water, egg white, lupin flour, whey protein, golden flax meal, pea protein, almond meal, baking powder (gluten free), linseeds, chia seeds, cinnamon, iodised salt, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds and pepitas

I don't care about carbs but was wondering if anyone knows of a low calorie sandwich/hamburger bun/bread? I am using Arnold - Sandwich Thins Naturals - 100% Whole Wheat, Flax & Fiber which are 100 calories a serving. Any other good low cal bread options - mainly for veggie burgers?
ETA: I am not crazy about doing a lettuce wrap type of thing.0 -
I take a regular Turano sandwich roll or a standard hamburger bun and scoop out the middle fluff. You can weigh the bread before and after scooping out the middle to recalculate the calories. For me, sandwiches are all about the stuff in the middle so I don't mind tossing 1/3 of the bread away.0

Make cloud bread! (There are different variations, but here's one: http://www.food.com/recipe/carb-free-cloud-bread-411501)
It's pretty great. Kind of a pain to figure out how to make the first time or two, but once you've got it down, it's super easy. I also sometimes get shredded Parmesan and bake it, then wipe off the grease, to make Parmesan crisps, which could sub as bread. Then of course, cauliflower bread, as someone else mentioned above. I made cauliflower bread grilled cheese the other night and it was great! All keto options0 -
