Inch loss no weight loss

I've been eating lchf for the past 2 weeks and been extremely strict.
Problem is I've lost a couple cm, but no weight loss on the scales since day 3. If anything it's creeping back up!
I'm not exercising, just day to day no gym weights or cardio. so I know I'm not converting to muscle. my carbs are less than 5g per day at most- only had veg once. And net calories are less than 1k per day
Why is this happening? I am "obese" so thought id see more loss especially after the first 3 days. feeling quite disheartened.

I'd be disheartened too. In fact, I'd lose my mind like that. Why don't you calculate a moderate calorie deficit, plan a menu and start tracking? Then go for a walk.
While you are walking think about how you will deal with the issue of how you will learn to live your life while losing weight. Also think about how you will cope when discouraged.
Give yourself a break by doing things that will actually help you achieve your goals.
Please, rethink your approach. Whatever shortcut you think your employing, a plan that depends on what happens over 3 days, is not going to help you in the long run.0 -
I have calculated my deficits and macros. I don't drive, i walk everywhere I need to go, what I mean is I've not added any extras (yet - waiting for the schools to go back) to put strain on my body or enhance muscles. I have 2 kids meals and budget for food is very much planned also. I have pcos recently diagnosed so know I need to keep carbs to a minimum.
What I mean is that after those first 3 days I'm putting weight on again while maintaining the changes in diet and losing cms. I don't understand what's going on.0 -
Even walking can build leg muscles. If you are shrinking at the waist but not weighing differently, you may gained some muscle and lost some fat. You also may be retaining water while losing fat, this is the most common reason. The water weight is offsetting the fat loss. The great news is that water retention is temporary. So you're weight will drop when you retain less water.1

If your losing in measurements thats awesome. The scales are just a number. As my pt says throw them out! Dont become a slave to them. They can be soul destroying. If measurements are moving what your doing is working. Or if your clothes arent as tight. I use to be a slave to the scales and it just about sent me nuts.0

You haven't gained muscle eating at a deficit for two weeks. You can't expect to lose weight everyday. Losing inches is great! Excellent sign. Two weeks is not enough time to judge or make any drastic changes.
How are you weighing your food? With a food scale? In grams? If you're not then you may not know what you're actually eating. Measuring with cups and spoons won't isn't accurate. Also, if you're considered obese and you're netting 1k cals, I'm surprised you're not starving. You really should be eating 1200 cals at a minimum but if you're obese, you can still lose weight by eating more. I don't know your height or weight though.0
