Hi all! Wondering if I could get some advice and motivation...anything really! I have always been thin athletic and muscular I have always worked out and ate healthy. In October I got a birth control implant that made me miserably sick and naseaus all the time, and I gained about thirty pounds on it from having a bigger appetite and hormonal imbalance I'm guessing. After trying to diet more, exercise more etc and nothing working I finally got it removed thinking it would be a breeze now.

Well it has been about four months since I got it removed, I eat a clean diet, I track my calories eating a lot of protein shakes salads and veryyy clean and I workout and I've lost what feels like nothing! I lost about 10lbs in the beginning but in the last three have lost like .5 lbs it's really starting to get to me. I can't fit in any of my clothes and I'm starting to feel like there is no hope I'll never lose the weight it's honestly depressing!

This is MFP so I'll give you the standard answer:

In 99% of cases, you are not losing weight because you are eating more than you burn.

How do you determine your caloric intake? Do you weigh everything on a scale in grams? How accurate is your logging? Do you take cheat days/meals that aren't logged? Find your wiggle room and tighten it up.

It is also possible that you are putting on some muscle from working out, but that generally tends to shrink your clothes size, not add to it. (Note: it's almost impossible to gain more than .25 lbs/muscle per week unless you're a bodybuilder specifically training for that.)

Eating "clean" doesn't matter. Eating fewer calories than you burn is the only way the weight goes. I'm 39 lbs down and counting. :)

Kullerva has the right approach. I would add, that despite all our gadgets and calculators, the only real test of whether you're eating at a calorie deficit is the scale.

You dont say how many calories you're eating. Is there room to cut, say 100 cal for a test period to see if you can get a better downward trend going? Also, maybe it seems like you aren't getting a good return for your effort, but you've gotten something. You're at a point where some folks run off the rails. Hang tight.

I am logging my food religiously if anything I am under eating which I know is also bad but my appetite is actually like non existent right now I have to force myself to eat most days. I do think I have lost inches I notice some of my clothes fitting better and this is TMI but my boobs are almost non existent now days lol
