    Eat the foods you like at a calorie deficit. Without knowing anything about you and any of the types of foods you like or dislike it's hard to know what you'd want to eat.

    I usually try to build my meals around a protein, a whole grain, and veggies.

    It might help to just eat how you normally would for a week and log everything, accurately and consistently. That way you'll see how far off you are and where you are spending too many calories and make targeted changes from there.

    You can really eat whatever you want, if you can get your portion sizes right, although obviously you want to eat a well balanced nutritious diet for health

    Chicken breast, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, green onions and light dressing- delicious. Those tiny fajita shells with some chicken, light sour cream and veggies- another low calorie and delicious. I love to use ground turkey and make a turkey taco salad. Turkey brats are another delicious meal with a veggie and whole grain if you choose. I don't eat many grains. I stick to chicken, turkey, fish and lots of veggies and some fruits. For breakfast you can make an omelet with your choice of veggies and turkey bacon- depending on your calorie goal. All very simple quick meal ideals for you! You could even cook up a batch of chicken and make salads or stick them between some bread if you choose. Overnight oats for breakfast??? Just add some milk before bed and let it sit in the fridge and depending again on your calories steam some eggs on a sunday and have overnight oats and boiled eggs for breakfast.
