I am returning after along abscence. I really need to do this. Not much to say I am just an average person who works a lot and has a job notorious for putting weight on people. So I got to take control and loose weight.

I returned to MFP a few weeks ago. Discovered that the ex bf was the cause of most of the stress in my life and with him out of my life now, it is making it ever so much easier to follow a good eating plan and to journal everything. Weighed 230 when I met him, 280 when he split, down to 266 this morning. I think that speaks for itself lol But it is still easier if there is someone to chat with for moral support along this journey.2

My job is the cause for lots of weight gain, too! Desperately trying to fix that. Let's do this!2

Hi - welcome back. Same here - just logged on for the first time in a while. Did amazing with MFP a few years ago but in the meantime have gained 2 babies and most of the weight I lost. I'm not done having babies so it's time to reclaim my body again!1

Me too, returning after neglecting my goals, a member here for many years, I really desire to get this weight off and get healthy. It has started to affect my daily activities. And I just don't feel well. All my bloodwork and medical appts have come back normal. I am well versed in nutrition and science, I am a nurse, Wife and Mother. I dropped 6 pounds since starting clean eating. Feel free to add me! Look forward to sharing ideas.1

I'm in the same boat. I have a great family and career, but am so time crunched and have been putting myself last. As my children are getting older (two boys: 14 and 11), I can start putting myself first. After work, I am running my kids everywhere... both boys play football, basketball and lacrosse. It. Never. Ends. That said, I am working on clean eating (they say if you eat clean 80% of the time you'll hit your goals) and sneaking in workouts when possible—sometimes it has to be at 4:30am. Ish. Anyway, glad to be back. Looking forward to my first weigh in since being back.1

A lot of companies are providing their desk-bound employees with standing desks. Ask yours to do so for you.
A Varidesk kit is cheap. juststand.org explains the cardiovascular benefits of standing. For me, it works out to about .75 calories burned per minute of standing. In an 8 hour day, that's over 300 calories of exercise credited to me. I weigh 171 today. If you weigh more, your 8 hour burn is higher than mine. It's real.1 -
Negativity can cause weight can and takes away our focus on our goals! I'm glad you're back on track and ready to go full force with your weight loss journey! Welcome back0
