I gained a lot of weight because of a martial arts injury that left me unable to move gor a while. This made me depressed and gave me so many excuses not to go to the gym. I'm ready to move past that.

Seriously, just do it.
I went back to lifting a few years ago at age 51, after a knee injury. I'm less obese, stronger and I'm glad I did it.1 -

I was the same after a back injury, I started ketogenic eating and I've shifted 50+ lbs in 5 months and feel so pumped all the time. Still another 60lbs to go but I should be able to go back too the gym again soon.
If I can do it, you can0
