Giving up alcohol

    Congrats to you!

    Of course, it's quite possible to lose or maintain weight while still using alcohol. I managed to do that for several years until I gave it up for other reasons and have to agree - I'm better off without it.

    Its SUPER hard so I get it, one of my old favorite past times... I just hit a crossroads, either Alcohol or my Gainz and Gainz prevailed!

    I gave up alcohol last year when I started practicing my Buddhism more seriously (no drugs or alcohol).
    Haven't had a drink for all of 2017.

    As the years go by you will be ever happier that you stopped drinking.

    I spent a lot of my 20s and 30s emulating Norm in Cheers. You could find me at the end of the bar. What a waste of youth, time and money. Now, booze is for cooking and if I feel hungover in the morning it's sinusitis.
